Soaring Stone is not really a stone or rock, but a hexagonal crystal, approximately 1/2“ x 3” (about the size of a finger). It comes in a variety of colors, but clear and smoky brown are the most common. Red, blue and green crystals can be quite striking and beautiful, but the value of the stone is not in its beauty or rarity, but in its magical properties. When infused with magic, Soaring Stones can be made to levitate, and even support many times their own weight. This makes them quite invaluable to Airship construction - in fact, without them, Airships would not be as prevalent as they are today. Soaring Stones are typically embedded throughout the keel and support structures of a ship.
