Because of this, it is possible to be tried and convicted of murder, even if no body has been found. __Sorcerors:__ While all sorcerors on Telarus are required to belong the Telarus Academy of Magic, this requirement is most strictly enforced within Ironnesse. __Golems:__ Magical Golems are outlawed on Telarus due to the infamous Golem Incident in 834.>> ==Government== Ironnesse is ruled by a city council, led by a mayor. The mayor reports to the King, but is in charge of keeping order in the city, and is generally autonomous in running the day to day affairs of the city. Each of the Houses, the Telarus Trading Guild, the Telarus Academy of Magic and the Lightkeepers Lightkeepers Guild all get to appoint one member to the city council for a three year term. These appointees __must__ be residents of the city for at least one year before their appointment, and must remain residents for their entire term. In addition to the nine appointed members, the land-owning citizens of Ironnesse elect three members of the council, with an election held every year for one of the seats. The mayor of Ironnesse is elected by the city council from one of their members. The mayor is rarely one of the elected representatives, but usually one of the appointees from one of the Houses. ==Culture== Ironnesse is a cosmopolitan city, where the primary focus is politics and trade. It is the fourth largest city in all of Yrazul, and the capital of Telarus. It is the center trading hub for the leeward isles, and hosts many foreign visitors among it's population. This is a small, extremely crowded city built predominantly of rock and stone. It is well known for its beautiful central square. Most of its revenue comes from foreign trade. ---- backlinks lastedit ---- CategorySetting CategoryImportant
