It was on Belanthor that [[SoaringStone Soaring Stone]] was first discovered, and the first [[Airships Airship]], the [[Terone]] was built. But Belanthor is most famous for two things - the [[JewelsofBelanthor Jewels of Belanthor]] and falling from the sky. There are those who think the two are related.
On Feb 29th, 303, unexpectedly and inexplicably, Belanthor plummeted from the sky, pounding into the ice below. The impact destroyed Belanthor, and sent huge clouds of ice and snow into the atmosphere. The weather was altered for years, and the length of the [[YearoftheLady Lady's Year]] was forever altered.
Survivors of the event were few.
