Belanthor
The Isle of Belanthor quickly rose to be one of the wealthiest and advanced islands of Yrazul after the Great War. Located near Paquena, by the year 100, it was the trade center for the region.
It was on Belanthor that Soaring Stone was first discovered, and the first Airship, the Terone was built. But Belanthor is most famous for two things - the Jewels of Belanthor and falling from the sky. There are those who think the two are related.
On Feb 29th, 303, unexpectedly and inexplicably, Belanthor plummeted from the sky, pounding into the ice below. The impact destroyed Belanthor, and sent huge clouds of ice and snow into the atmosphere. The weather was altered for years, and the length of the Lady's Year was forever altered.
Survivors of the event were few.
